WHITLEY GREEN RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION |
|
About UsWhitley Green Residents group
was founded in 1994, by a group of residents who wanted to do an
extra something for the area they live in. We work hard on all
environmental issues, street lighting, roads and paths, abandoned
vehicles, or anything that makes our estate a nicer place to live
in. we work for all, tenants and home owners alike. We cover Rowdell Drive, Exwick Square, Hawkchurch Road,
Holberton Road, Wentworth Avenue and Foxhays Road. |

HistoryOur estate was built in the late 1940's. It has seen many changes, the main one was in 1997 when Whitley Green worked on project "Capital Challenge" which was an upgrade of council homes in this area. Money came via the council and Central Government, and we worked to achieve this, years earlier than planned. Now with new windows, doors, guttering, central heating, modern fittings and outside cladding, this makes the home you have today a warmer and cosier place to live. We are proud to have been instrumental in this programme. TreesFor many years now we have been adding trees to Foxhays Road
Green, Careen our secretary obtained a good size lottery grant to purchase another 12 trees.
Seasonal bulbs were planted all around the green areas on the estate,
and after such a snowy period in 2010, when they came into bloom they were spectacular,
we hope they will continue to flower each year. Contact us
